Leamington is known as the Tomato Capital of Canada. It has a large H.J. Heinz Company factory. It is also known as the Sun Parlour of Canada due to it being the most southern part of Canada.

Leamington started as a village in 1876. It started off being well know for its lumber before the tomatoes. In 1908, H.J. Heinz Company come to leamington which brought many jobs which contributed to the grown of Leamington.

Many people go to leamington to watch the migrating birds in autumn. They come from Canada, the United States and all around the world. The area is also known for the migration of Monarch Butterflies.

Leamington's attractions include: bicycle paths and Point Pelee National Park. Leamington also has a large modern marina. The city hosts a Tomato Festival every August. Car shows, beauty pageants, parades, and a fair are all part of the Tomato Festival.
